great content if you're ready for it April 8, 2010 MB (Chicago, IL) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I read this book back in 1994 when I entered the workforce out of college. It was extremely instrumental in giving me a feeling that I had an edge in interviewing and understanding the job process. I think this is a solid book for coming out of school and getting some key points across in terms of desire, aggressiveness, attitude, etc. I couldn't believe it still in print, but I remember how pumped I would get after reading the book and being super excited about going out and searching for a job. maybe it just helped me see it differently back then and that was the edge I needed.

I found `Knock `em Dead - 2010' to be well written and well organized. The concepts are very good and easy to understand. I recommend reading the book all the way through, but one can also use it as reference material to focus on specific aspects of the job search.
I found the difficult question section especially useful. That chapter provides great insight into what an interviewer is actually looking for when asking some of those dreaded questions like; "What is your greatest weakness?" Going in armed with this knowledge gives the interviewee the confidence to relax and be natural. I am convinced this is was the key to my most very recent successful search.
I consider this book to be a must have, not only for someone in the process of the job search, but also for anyone who is currently employed and interested in furthering their career within their current organization.
Must Have: Knock'em Dead July 13, 2010 Nokiwa Skowa One of the best handbook that anyone can come across. My mentor passed me the 2006 version (when it won the award) and it has helped me with my approach towards employer in a more strategic way. This is "the book" for U.
