Winning a debate that doesn't happen

When a long time incumbent feeling the heat of a strong challenge won't debate and a local paper slants the coverage toward the incumbent, what do you do? Watch and see.

A good comeback from Schuler. I would think the whole "Sunday" angle would get more play in the South particularly.

AND he attended the first six? that just smells like bad journalism to me.

Shuler made a great move here in that he not only gave a moving and reasonable response to the allegations presented in the media, he was able to dicredit and illuminate the media's slant.  Heading into the final weeks before the elections, Shuler was able to announce to the community that the media is biased against him, and thus, Shuler has discredited future reporting that would negitively affect his chances for election. Smart move.
