Arizona Senate Debate
This is from the Senate debate in Arizona on October 15, 2006.
The thing that struck me about the debate is I was not impressed by the speaking ability of either candidate. I felt both mumbled over their words, were not incredibly sure what to say at all times, and appeared unconfident.
Kyl looked like he had more experience debating on television, as he looked at the camera steadily. Pederson looked far less comfortable on camera in my opinion, as he looked down a lot more.
Kyl use his voring record to backup his argument on several issues, while Pederson often criticized what the government was doing currently on certain issues, while providing his opinion for what should be done.
I am not overly knowledgable about the race and do not know who is the favorite, but I was slightly more impressed with Kyl, not by what his message was, but he was more personable and slightly better and getting his message across.
