New Debate Challenges in Oregon

Following her win in Pennsylvania Hillary Clinton made a video aimed at the Oregon Primary, levering two items that have worked for her, rural voters (not a pattern in the West but. . . ) and her advantage in televised Debates.

She challenged Obama to two debates, one specifically addressing rural issues.

The probabilities seem small after the collapse of a North Carolina debate prior to the May 6th primary.

Obama does not rule out a debate but sets ground to do so, as quoted by KPIC TV .
Obama campaign spokesman Nick Shapiro said a decision will be made shortly about whether Obama will debate Clinton in Oregon. But Shapiro also said Clinton's call for more debates is "an old Washington game." "There have been 21 Democratic debates and four one-on-one debates with Sen. Clinton, all televised nationally," he said. "Sen. Obama's focus is on meeting directly with Oregon voters about the issues that really matter to them."
The Washington Times</strong> reports Oregon Governor on board in calling for the debates. So did NC Governor, and most every politician in the state. And . . .
