There have been 38 primary presidential debates to date in 2008 election cycle. This post points to shortcuts to access the debates for researchers or those seeking a refresher.

Interactive Video: The New York Times has a very innovative site that combines video and transcripts in an interactive format.

Beginning with the Sept 26 Democratic Debate to the latest debates video is linked with transcripts of the events, allowing the viewer to pick and choose, watch and read. Be sure not to miss clicking a second tab of individual debate pages that goes to "Transcript Analyzer" for a visual map of speaking times and placement by candidates (and moderators).

Debate Shifts

This debate does seem to move pretty dramatically on Iraq. Clinton has clearly adjusted her "best of all worlds" position on Iraq into an Obama co-opting opposition to Iraq. She erased almost all distinction between her position and his tonight.

It's the economy, stupid.
